Carrots

We are still harvesting from the winter garden. I think I planted these in October... or somewhere around there. I actually planted carrots (and beets, too) at three separate times so they wouldn't all be ready to harvest at the same time. It's called succession planting. I learned that - and everything else - from MY farmer.

The Lovey took these to work and they were the hit of the day. The price of eating a carrot? The tops must be returned to the Lovey so he could bring them back home to put in our compost. Ashes to ashes.... it's a Small Circle, isn't it? :-)
