Three years ago today we tied the knot. It was the perfect day and the perfect (for us) wedding. Non-traditional in every way. Here is my something old (a ring I had when I was a young thing), something borrowed (a friend's necklace), something new (a camel and silk wrap - spun and knitted by yours truly),  and something blue (a stapler). We had a potluck reception, had guests decorate our cake, and Number One Son's (who was also the Man of Honor) band played. What a great day it was!

I got plenty of flack from the folks back East. They lived through the days when I would point to my mouth and say 'Read my lips.... never again". I sadly thought that marriage meant ownership and I didn't want to spend the rest of my life not being me. I was sorely wrong.

The Lovey has shown me love, respect, caring, compassion, kindness, concern, strength, integrity, generosity. I hope he finds as much joy in sharing his life with me as I do with him. I can't imagine life without him.

Happy Anniversary, Lovey! I love you. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots............
